ONE MONTH TO GO!

SEASTOC!

OK! Just a few short weeks till SEASTOC! Campin' at the Salton Sea! I'll be faxing to the ranger our plans so they can prepare their shock troops and warn the populace.

It's going to be a seriously fun event and I'm even considering doing a spaghetti dinner on Sat. night for everyone; well at least till the food holds out. LOL.

I recently got a job and my new boss is being very considerate on allowing me time off for the event. So I'll be there Friday morning, or so to meet and greet the humming hordes! Hope all you guys got your ducks in a row and marked off your calendar for this STOC event!

SEE YOU THERE!

So, should we be offering congratulations or condolences? :)

Well, I'll guess... congratulations!
See you there.

Yeah; 'job' is a three letter way of cussing (w**k)!

Glad you'll now have more money for eating and farkling; to bad you will not have the time to do the farkling...

I'll get in late Thursday night early Friday morning at my site and the other two sites should be available from 2:00PM Friday afternoon. See you then Fred!

Looking forward to it Alicia! I know if the sites are not taken Friday morning they won't mind if they become occupied, I think. Anyway I'll be there barring any... well, anything! LOL.

Maybe I'll run down there Thursday if other folks are gonna be on site. I _gotta_ be back home Sunday so an early start to this event would be great.

Just got home form SierraSTOC. Ride was the usual, flat tire was exceptional.

Hi folks,
This trip sounds like loads of fun. I just joined the group last week, are “new guys” allowed at this outing :-)
I’ve been wanting to try a camping trip on the ST, this seems like a good one to start with.
How about camps sites, should I reserve one or see what is available when I get there?

Thanks,
Rick

Rick,

Of course newbies are invited! How else do the 'long-timers' get beer? :)
Click on the Events tab on the left of the home page. There is a lot of information on the event there...

Short answer: The campsites have been arranged and the money will be figured out while we are there...

Hope to meet you there!

Mark is right on the button! Please come and intro yourself and your bike. As for money, fret not, the three campsites reserved are FREE! What's that!? Free you say!? Yep! Free! Each site is allow up to 8 occupants. Also parking for the bikes as long as they fit in the campsite's parking spots. If any campsite parking is overflowed we have a very large day parking lot to use.

There is a small town nearby called Mecca (for your Haji) that has a couple of fast food eateries and gas station to fuel your STeed.

So bring your tent and fluffy pillow, your campfire lies, camera and Holloween mask! LOL.

It's only 239 miles from Kingman to Salton Sea. My planned route is closer to 400! See y'all there.

I'll take the direct route home but I gotta go thru 29 Palms on the way down for Chinese lunch. It's a tradition.

I will probably be there sometime on Thursday as well. My plan is to leave BamaSToc and head to my son's home in Laderra Ranch and spend a couple days with his family and then head to Salton Sea.
