How well do the mirror and fairing air deflectors work? They looked great on the '05 ST I saw at the MPLS. Motorcycle show but appear like a relatively small extension of the fairing/mirror. IMO the looks alone make it a "must-have" See ya, Wally

I have them and think they do push the heat out and away from me when moving. But I also think they look good. I don't think you can tell by my avatar but they are there.

I added the mirror deflectors a short time ago and due to winter conditions have only been around town with them. (not to mention I got them on not so perfect because I couldn't wait till spring to do them properly) I do believe they are going to help though. My hands are clearly out of the wind stream with them on. Passenger (Wife) refuses to ride in 0 /C temps so waiting to see on her comments. Grand son and I were out last week in -7C or 19F for an hours ride. If it gets any colder I am going to get out the heated vest.

My finger tips used to get really cold from being directly in the airstream. With the mirror deflectors I haven't had near the problems.

Haven't tried the fairing deflectors.

Is it feasable to take the mirror deflectors off for summer? Or is it once its on its on for good?

I have to heat mine up when the weather gets better and re do them. Easy to get the replacement 3M tape and my pal that manages a large body shop over here tells me they us a rubber wheel to clean it off the paint. Damned old fool that I am some times.
I think they actually look good on the bike though.

I just put on the fairing deflectors Saturday. It was an easy, quick job, but stressful, since the tape is sticky, and it seemed once you started you had pretty much committed to how you had them lined up (glad I didn’t have to test out how removable it would be). They went on fine though. I didn’t have a mm drill, so matched up a US size small enough to allow the threads to catch, which worked fine.

Honda direct has backordered the mirror deflectors, which are what I really wanted for the cold weather. The warmth is welcome about now, but as stated the fairing deflectors look good on the bike so I put them on. The shape is lip like and will likely push the hot air pretty well to the side. No riding with them yet though, blasted :snow1:
