I feel a little out of sorts asking but youse guys are my among my closest friends, so...

My niece and her husband passed this last Friday. Details are sketchy but it wasn't pretty. I'm packing now for an extended trip to Indiana, don't know when I'll be home but I'll be in touch.

Please pass a prayer up the ladder for _all_ those who have preceded us and a special note for Sandy and Tim.

Thanks,

BridgeMan

George,

Only God knows what you and your family are going through. Place your faith and trust in Him. He'll get you through!

You can also take comfort in the prayers and support that the folks here offer to you. My wife and I know first hand just how much that means during difficult times.

My prayers are with you.

God Bless,

Folks, just a quick update. I'm in Indiana for a spell. Funeral was yesterday, now the healing can start. I'm here to support my sister and other family members who are pretty devastated by a tragic event. Soon's the details get worked out and things get back toward normal I'll be headed home.

Gonna miss SEASTOC but that's a minor pont. The 'Camino got here just fine, interstate all the way, and it's useful to have 4-wheels right now.

I'll check in again in a couple days.

Thanks for all the prayers and good wishes,

Mark

Unbelievable!:(

George, I just read the Sunday coffee thread. So sorry to hear of another family loss. That is tough news indeed. I know how hard that is as a dear friend of mine, his wife lost three of her 4 brothers in less than 2 weeks all due to sudden heart conditions or natural causes. Non of those losses were expected and my friends wife was devistated for a very long time! Therefore, my heart goes out to you and please, please give your family my condolences! I'm still praying for all of you so I'm sure the Lord is lending a gentle hand in some manner. God bless and take care!

Oh, and I know this is a stretch but since I live just over the state line in Mi. you're not really all that far away if there is anything I can do! Just name it and I'll do my level best to help out!!!

Just an update to 'splain a couple earlier posts. My niece and her husband both passed on the weekend over a week ago. Funeral was last Friday. On that day, her children learned that their paternal grandmother had passed that day. So, we another viewing (this evening) and funeral (tomorrow morning.) All seem to be standing up pretty well. My sister is lending her strength to them so isn't taking time to grieve her own loss. It ain't gonna be pretty when this all subsides. I'm here along with many other family members, tho, so we'll get thru it.

In the meantime, our mother is fading, tho she wont' admit anything. We're all lending a hand with her care, of course, but we'll have to go home some time. Ugh!

Also, we haven't been able to gain access to my niece's house yet. We're meeting the property owner at 5 today to try to get things resolved. More to follow.

Keep us in your prayers, especial my sis as she's the one shouldering the biggest burden.

Thanks to all for the kind wishes,

Short update: the funerals are history, the wailing and gnashing of teeth and rending of garments have passed. It's now time for the long healing process. My sis is doing good, she has her grandsons (from her youngest daughter, Sandy was number 2 of 4) this week and that'll keep her busy. Rest of the family seems to be holding up well.

No need to share the details of the whole event here. Thanks to all for you prayers and kind words. Such times are easier when shared.

Thanks again,
