Okay,
Here's how this will work... There's basically 2 months left in the year and Christmas is coming...
I will start a poll in this thread, with every vendor that is on the site... The members here can vote for their favorite vendor. It the votes will not be public so the vendors won't know WHO did or did not vote for them. Each member only gets one vote.
On December 31th, the poll will end.. the winning vendor will get a small block on the home page for the entire year of 2008 as the designated 2007 vendor of the year...
What does the site get out of this? Nothing..
What do the members here get out of this? Some great competition amongst the vendors here to win over your vote. Great timing with Christmas on the way.
Remember, you can vote.. then change your vote...
Hopefully, this will do two things.. acknowledge the vendors on the site and in doing so, get them to provide more incentives for the members here then get some free advertising in the process.
I'll add the poll in a few mins.

Yup.. it's tough.. I guess one of them will have to run a special to win your vote.. or maybe all of them .. he he he

I gotta ask why Newenough wasn't on the list? Great service! Site donations to st-owners.com. What's not to like? That would be my vote. Cheers Marty

New enough doesn't actual donate to the site, members that purchase at newenough do as part of their purchase.. also, newenough isn't a registered vendor on the site... I appreciate what they do, but they just aren't a member on the site.. this is only for vendors that are actually on the site.

Does Joe Sears fall in the catagory with New Enough?

I have purchased from a number of these vendors so limiting my vote to one,I had to evaluate them not only in terms of the quality of their product but also in terms of how well they have communicated with me,their overall response time.Did they get it right the first time or were there any problems?I dont know if you (Joe) want us to state in this thread for whom we voted but lets just say i am with the majority of respondents that have voted thus far:D I have had only one vendor that I had some minor problems with and they were able to correct their mistakes rather quickly. The vendor I voted for is an absolute gentleman and he has taken every one of us as a priority. His attention to detail and his turnaround time have been excellent as well.Communication with him has been a pleasure and he has kept me constantly informed throughout the process. The quality of his work and the prices he charges have kept me from considering much more expensive options. This individual truly stands out in my mind...so i guess it wasn't that hard of a choice after all.I voted for Spencers.Joe if this info posted here is inappropriate please delete those parts that I.D. the vendor...thanks for a great thread idea!

No problem at all.. this is a good place to praise those vendors you've had great experience with. Obviously, I don't want to hear about negative experiences, just the good stuff.

Does Joe Sears fall in the catagory with New Enough?
NewEnough is not an actual vendor on the site. They offer the ability for members to donate $1 of their purchase towards a site give-a-way type item.
This has been very successful, however, since they are not a registered vendor on the site they aren't included in this. This is more for member/vendors.

Unbelievable!:doh1:
Thanks Joe! Now, cause I'm still fairly new here, I've gotta check out all the vendors I haven't noticed before! Heck I spend most of my idle time here at work on this site posting and now you think I have time for that too!:a13:

I'm sorry, but you didn't answer my question to my satisfaction. Joe Sears is spoiled biker. I thought he was a member of this board as well as a vendor.

Unbelievable!:doh1: You're not alone! I've re-read it a couple of times too. I think I understand now too since you helped explain!:clap2: I think Moto is just trying to throw us off track here so that while we're spending extra time to figure this out, he's out there putting extra miles ahead of us on his bikes...;)

Thanks for editing the poll for us that are so busy RIDING that we don't know who the vendors are. Now I can vote. I have only used one vendor on the whole list!!!!
I really like Motorcycle Larry's products but Turbo City Tom is the nicest, so he gets my vote.

Need more clarification, Joe. New Enough has a flag for a $1 donation, doesn't impact you bottom line on a purchase. ST-Owners is listed. I always check it (I buy from them prolly 4-6 times a year.)
So, are they _not_ forwarding the money? I know they provide some door prizes and such.

They don't give us money, they give us gift certs that we hand out as giveaways. That's how I've handled them in the past.
Yes, they are a vendor that allows members to support a site but in the end that 'money' goes back to them. 10 members buy something and $10 goes into a bucket, they give us a $10 gift cert that we hand out so they can purchase something with that $10.
This poll was mainly for vendors that are MEMBERS on the site. I hope that clears things up... since the vote is over, I'll put them on the list for the 2008 vote.

I didn't find this thread until after it was all closed and done. No problems with the results that I see. I was surprised to see that Eastern Beaver wasn't listed. I'm pretty sure he's a member of this site. BTW, I've also received excellent service from him (and many other of these vendors).
My favorite vendors are (in no particular order):
TurboCity
Spencer
Hondacuraworld
Motorcycle Larry
Eastern Beaver
These are all stand up guys and perform a great service to our ST community.

Actually, I had to look at it a couple times too.. LOL.. and I knew I had it there. Maybe next year I'll add vendor logos as well.
