Yep, I have joined the ranks. Was backing the bike up and my left foot slipped on a stick of all things. Down she went. My 2 daughters really enjoyed the show. They did help me upright the thing.

Very Cool Benge.... ;)
Please let us know how you got your daughters to help...
I can't even get my sons to help me!!! :D
Hopefully nothing more than your pride and the tip over wings were injured... :)

My RedWing boots have a relatively smooth sole (before the
exacto blade) and a twig as small as a toothpick can take
you down when you roll on it....definitely treads on my next
pair.....
Glad I got that off my chest.

Welcome to the club. Gotta love the tip over wings.
Hey if you're gonna do it, at least share the laugh with an audience :)

Still waiting for my turn, but I've had more close calls lately, what with all the gravel, leaves, etc. I seem to be finding underfoot whenever I back up (heck of an exercise for building up those inner thigh muscles). Sooner or later, I am certain of either letting her down, pulling something important while trying to save it, or both.

Have you ever noticed during times like this that gravity has no sense of humor...and always acts 'right now!'

Take heart. You have plenty of company.

I owe thanks to who ever engineered the "tip over wings". No damage other than to a tip over wing cover. .:bow1:
That gravity thing sure does happen quickly too. She was down before I knew what happened. The ST certainly does have porcine qualities while standing still. ( Harley riders should not consider that a compliment.) ) One kid was talking on the phone. She shared my joy with whomever was on the other end. I didn't give her or her sister a choice about helping lift the bike. It happened at lunch time and I had to get back to work. My boss rides a Goldwing and has already dropped it. He thought me dropping the ST was quite humorous.

Did you have any problems getting it started afterwards? I hear there is a tip over sensor you have to take to the dealer to get reset.

You don't have to go to the dealer to reset the tip over sensor. You just have to shut the ignition off, I believe.

I know my turn is lurking about, somewhere out there, just waiting to pounce....
Glad it was all OK!
Fred, get the man his lighter!

The bike started up with no problems after the tipover. It rode fine afterwards as well.

You guys are so lucky, to have the wings. My zippo moment happened in Yellowstone this summer, with an audience of gawkers and one nice guy who helped me right the beast. The cost: Rt mirror, aeroflow windshield, saddlebag mount, throttlemeister und scratches in der bodywerks.
And of course my last shred of dignity.:doh1:

did not drop the ST (just because I do not have it yet ) but did that with the VFR twice. First when installed Zumo and a new windshiled , went to test ride than stopped in front of the house to take some pictures , than leaned the bike..... sidestand was not out ! ... bike had 480 miles at that time. Next day I took my bycile out for a nice ride, tangled witha car, broke a clavicle which was followed by two shoulder surgeries. You are lucky ! Welcome to the "I dropped my bike" side of the riders.

Yeah, I'd have two Zippos to my name.
Looks like the HD crowd is waaay ahead of us on this one, though:
