Plagiarized the idea from ST.Net... What are your favorite top ten?
From personal experience, and in no particular preference my top 10, as of today, March 17, 2005 are:
1. Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park.
2. Utah 12 between Bryce Canyon and Torrey.
3. CA 180 and 198 from Squaw Valley to Three Rivers.
4. US 50 from Delta UT to Fallon NV.
5. CO 65 and 92 between Grand Junction and Gunnison.
6. US 212 across Bear Tooth Pass.
7. TX 16 between Kerrville and Bandera.
8. TX "Ranch Roads" 335, 336, and 337, west of Bandera.
9. US 191 between Clifton and Springerville AZ.
10. UT 128 from Moab to I70.
Dang, how could I have left out OR 3 - WA 129 between Enterprise OR and Antoine WA.
It's hard to stop at 10!

All great choices ... I would add, from the PNW -
2. WA state's Cascade Loop (Hwy 20 and Hwy 2 back)
3. BC's own Sea-to-Sky Hwy 99 past Whistler
4. OR hwy 101 from Bandon south (fewer motorhomes!)
7. Alberta's Hwy 40 in the Kananaskis area ... awesome!

Just a few of (those roads)

Montana, near Glacier NP:
US 89 south from St. Mary to MT 49 to East Glacier Park. Twisty parts with prarie-meets-mountain views
Alberta:
AB 40 from TC 1 to Longview, mountain sweepers, scenery
Britsh Columbia
TC 1 from Golden to Revelstoke, any provincial hwy. south of this area, all good!
Washington State
WA 410 from Buckley through Mt. Rainier NP to 123 to 706 to 7 to 161
New York State
Hudson Valley
NY 6/202 to Bear Mountain Bridge, NY 218 north of West Point, short, but twisty.
NY 22 from Kensico Dam/Westchester to Ausable Chasam/Adirondacks, nice farm and mountain scenery.
Connecticut
RT 7 along the Housatonic river.
Ooops, thats more than ten...I could probably fill a book on great/favorite roads. Whenever I come across a fun, scenic and traffic free road, it goes on the mental list and becomes another "favorite".:clap2:
