We developed these lexan wings to almost totaly cover the side vents on the ST-1300. By removing the inspection/service pannel in the back of the faring, we direct all the heat coming through the front of the faring into the rider area through this space. They really work great and especially with the V-stream windsheild. We have rode into the 20's and been comfortable. We are planning to start a new run the first of November and usually run about 10 sets per setup. The cost is $79.00 shipped anywhere in the US by USPS.

looks awesome !!! I thought about temporary plastic ducts from the engine zone to directly inside the jacket :))
Ok first picture. Yeah wings, jet airliner wings! ok second and third pics. Oohhh, mount to the side. Got it. So is there still an adjustment on the end? How does that work?
Thanks for reposting.
Jim
Don't need them here either, but they do look very well made.

These are great we have sold several sets! No they will not work on the 1100. No, they do not have an adjustment on the end, however after several "wind tunnel" (building, doors open, with small fridge, adult beverages, and two scoots) testing we have determined a precise (swag) angle for the flair on the back to achieve the best heat transfer, and YES they do work quite nicely to keep the rider warm!

I'm interested ... but...
Do they fit with Honda faring deflectors ? Do they make enough room for enough warm air to go around the deflectors ?
...If you didn't test that yet, just send me a pair of wings, I will test them and report ! LOL

Ok, We have shipped a set to Tom in Oklahoma that will be installed by the weekend WITH THE HONDA FARING DEFLECTORS maybe we can find out what works. I will try and have him post his success here.
Thanks, T Wright

These look promising for cold-weather rides. I'm curious whether they'll play nice with the Honda fairing deflectors. I'll keep a watch on this thread.

well, today was a high of 28. my heat wings came in the mail today. ordered them thursday of last week. install was quick and easy (all hardware included). THEY WORK!
i wear kevlar lined jeans and chaps with a marsee jacket with armor and layered clothing underneath and a full face helmet.
felt good warm air under my chin and my crotch was warmer too. and the windshield was half down.
went over a friend's christmas party today and got good laughs when people heard i had a heater on my bike. my harley friends just had a deer-in-the-headlight look on their faces and bull-tweet opinions. what else is new. i didnt get up on the freeway but doing 45 anyway got good results.
i'm glad i bought 'em.
merry christmas everyone!

Tom, I'd like to see if you'd be willing to take a stab at building some Heat Wings for those of us with the Honda fairing deflectors. I'd be happy to forward any number of measurements and photos off my bike. Just tell me what you'd need to make templates. I'd be willing to bet we could figure a way to get the flare just right, even if it would be by the braille method!
Of course, if you're not interested, I'd understand. They sure look sexy, though. Whaddayasay?

Tom,
The heat wings were wonderful this weekend coming home from Moonshine. They kept my knees warm, very important!
Soon it will be time to remove them for a few months. :)
