Crossroads are Ellsworth and Brown.
Wish I could but I am working that day.:(

Of course you may ride your 1100 over (unfortunately, the smilies don't distinguish 1300's from 1100's so I'd hoped that folks would interpret them to include both). :o:
I might put Chris's up for the valve check.
If it is okay with Rob I'd ride it out the evening before so that it would be cool enough to check (Thanks to John for the suggestion).

I'm looking at the 16K valve check. Probably should do brake and clutch fluids as well.

I will plan for this one, if anything just to get in the way... actually would like to do a starter valve sync and possibly bleed the brakes, but mostly hang out and swap info and stories...

I only hope my ST is fixed by then. If so I will make it, oh well I'll probably come either way.

Of course you can. And I'll even strip the fairings for ya. ;) (You can time me.)
I'll have the vid system available too, so don't worry if you come that you will not be able to see what is going on as the garage has 2 15-inch flat screens.

Excellent; thanks... After all the new paint I'll bet you've got stripping the fairings down pat! :)

What time will the Tech Day get started on Sunday, Nov 18. I plan to come up from Green Valley--about 150 miles or about 2.5 hrs. with the idea to arrive at the start. :04biker:

I am guessing 10 am is a good start, but could be earlier.
I'll probably ride Tortilla Flat in the morning. ;)
I don't know the rules for these things but if they allow, I will try to get up just to watch and learn. It will be nice to visit too. I won't get in the way and I maight actually be of help.

Count me in. I have a 2007 st with just over 3k mi. so as far as I know no service needed yet but I would like to learn about what's coming up for the bike etc. Maybe I could provide pizzas??
Well if no one else is going to respond to your offer, let me be the first to say yes to your offer. And just since you are such a good guy, I'm in with you for the pizzas. Also, let me say again, great ride today and an equally great breakfast this morning in Globe.

Good luck with the work too!

I am going to post the intersection nearest my house and then ask you individually to PM me. I can then give you the specific location of my house and the gate code needed to get into the neighborhood.

State Farm just told me they mailed a check to start the repairs on my STeed, unfortunatly there is virtually no chance the bike will be ready by then. I do plan on attending though.

Hi John,
Are you still planning on coming? If so, I would like to utilize your valve check expertise... I will drop Chris's bike off the night before if you're coming.
If not I think I'll just do her clutch and brake fluids... (now where is that "chicken" emoticon! :))

I'm tempted to ride down there just to see that amazing and spotless garage. If it hasn't won any awards, it certainly should have!

I'm still up for the valve check and I'd love a throttle body synch (no chicken here). Unfortunately, it's looking like the Total Control class on Saturday may be cancelled due to lack of enrollment. So, at least for now, I'll not have to be in Gilbert on Saturday but am willing to grab a room for Saturday night in order to have a cool engine on Sunday morning. :)

Mark, Rob and STers:
I was planning to come up to Mesa but as of this day (Tuesday) I have family that called and are now in Sedona and are headed our way either Saturday or Sunday. Most likely that takes me out of the picture for Sunday. If they would happen to leave Sedona early, I might be able to make it Sunday but it doesn't look good.
I trust there are others that can cover the various procedures desired.

Thanks for the update John.
Chris's family were in last weekend. I wonder why they wait for fall to visit? :)
I suspect we'll do fine; pictures will be posted...

Just a few questions: Is anyone planning on bring a vacuum gauge set for doing the starter valve sync? Rob mentioned this is one thing he does not have. Or does anyone know where to borrow or rent one for the day? Is anyone bringing a service manual?
Rob Hephner

I have the ST1300 manual!
Service manual(s), brake vacuum tool, brake/clutch fluid.
No vacuum gauges here.

Cool. I picked up a Motion Pro vacuum gage so folks can play with the throttle body synch. I'm also bringing a Mighty-vac since lots of folks wanted to do brake and clutch fluids.
I totally volunteer for the valve check, throttle body synch, and fluid change!

If you want to swing by early I would not mind!
I got enough stuff done in the yard and around the house today so I am coming up in the morning with Glenn. We plan to be there about 1000.

Thanks for hosting a great tech day. I learned a lot and got to meet a lot of very nice folks. Probably most importantly, I got to experience your garage. Wow!! I was going to host a tech day down here but I would be embarassed to have people see my garage.

Did you guys make any progress on Drazil's Idle issue?
Thanks for hosting Rob!
I agree the pizza was good; but, I think it was more fun watching Raven's bike get cleaned... :)
Not a lot of progress on Drazil's issue...
