I'm considering a HID kit, as the cost seems to have come down a bit. I understand some aspects, but experienced minds are always better.
First, what kelvin is actually best for usable lighing? Advertized kits range from 3000k to 6-8000k, with descriptions suggesting color changes more than actual lighting benifts.
Second, is there a kit anybody has used/researched that fits the ST1300 best?
From other forums it seems that HID has a mixed following, lots of light but not really usable, to people who love it. Comments on HID?

Tom:

http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/bulbs/Hid/HID.html for some pretty strong, but informed, opinions.

I found this guy to be the only equipment retailer who called BS on the Silverstar marketting hype (ie. blue tinged Silverstars not the same as the better clear european ones). I wish I'd read it before I bought the Sylvania Silverstars and installed them in my bike for some C$50 when I would have had better bulbs for half the price.

I can't say I like everything he says, but most of it makes sense. Good luck in your research.
