My newly purchased Hella FF40 driving lights arrived in the mail yesterday. I want to mount them up high off of the mirrors. I looked at the mounts that Ron Major crafted for the ST1100 and would love something like that. Looking at the two bolts that hold the mirror, it looks like using the top bolt would be the easiest to fabricate a mount for a top mounted light. The bottom bolt would require a more complex bracket because the bolt is buried and harder to get at.
Has anyone fabricated their own mounts for lights? Any opinions about the best location? ;) (na, no opinions on this site) :eek:
