A few folks are gathering to ride from Denver south to Bishops Castle then on to Westcliffe for lunch. Meeting at Diamond Shamrock off c470 on Santa Fe at 9:00 am. Approx 350 mile round trip planned, lots of bail points if you dont want to ride the whole way. Lots of additional mile routes if you want to go further. See Colorado Riders thread for more input and a map.

Had a great time meeting everyone ;) Great ride... snow, ice... pucker
Hope I didn't  Bobsmtb and MileHigh on the way back  It was getting dark and my regular glasses were sans one lense  Only had dark shades... it was WAY dark by the time I was getting home, had to pull over and put on the one lense glasses anyway  You guys think my GPS was acting flacky on the way back, man... you should have been with me after you split off :nuts1:
Thanks for setting this up NoBull! :bow1:

That's funny you mention the glasses...I finally took my sunglasses off as we approached Castlerock, in the fast lane, one-handed...talk about your pucker moments...at least I remembered to turn on the grip-warmers before my hands got really cold...

Rob, you might have missed the turn off for I-25 and, given us the senic tour of Colorado Springs but, I drove right past the clearly marked exit for 85.
The big huge one that clearly said " 85 North Littleton This Exit" :nuts1:
Took the senic route past the mall.:doh1:

Too Funny! That's what happens when you're tired I guess.

Guys I had fun, I am glad you all came out. Sounds like I missed an interesting trip home. We had a great ride thru the canyons after Westcliffe made it all the way to Monument before I had to remove the sunglasses. Jim took the extra long route home and headed up into the hills at Canon City, hope all ended well for him. Sunshine, mostly clear roads, St presents from Rob, we didnt have to watch the whole Bronco game what more could we ask for? Great meeting all of you, until next time...Nick

Absolutly great time... Bike gave me 50 mpg for the ride... I like that with the gas prices we're starting to see... The Canyon on 50 was a perfect, I think it was the first time I've been on that stretch without a truck pulling a camper in front of me...
Look forward to seeing all of you again...

It was nice to meet everyone, Jim Dave, Paul, et. all from "up there" south of us in the Monument & COSprings area.
Old man Bishop sure was a trip. Did a search of him on YouTube under Bishops castle, Jim Bishop. What a hoot he is. Not quite sure if he would be considered a certifiable nut or different.
LMAO watching that clip. That guy has got "Ruby Ridge" written all over him !!!
I thought the guy is clearly nuts while watching him rant....then realized that some of the things he was saying, I agree with him. Guess that makes me nuts also !!!!
Anyway, loved that clip. Great to see him pissed off about paper currency while he scrapes the bottom of the donation box and waves that cash around.
