View Full Version : Heated glove failure

I bought a pair of the heated gloves from www.cozywinters.com and I have had a failure of the left glove and I have about decided that it may have to do with internal wiring/routing and perhaps even the length of wire in the glove flexing too much as a result of clutch level operation and me trying to get my fingers down to the end of the glove for a better feeling of control.

I guess my question(s) would be;

Anyone use this vendor and have you experienced a similar failure?
If you are not using these what are you using and have you experienced failures or other annoyances such as hot spots or intermittent operation.

Thanks in advance.

I've been using Gerbing heated gloves and clothing and have never had a failure. Excellent quality, plus lifetime warranty on electrics, at least I think.:03biker:

Bought a new pair of Gerbing gloves and had the left one fail. Contacted Gerbing and got an RMA. Shipped back and got replacements. I didn't follow instructions exactly, so I wound up paying part of the shipping to them.
Got a new replacement pair which work perfectly.

i haven't used this particular vendor. i'm familiar with gerbing, warm-n-safe and widder. all of these vendors guarantee the wiring for the life of the garment. having said that, none of the products i've used from these vendors has failed.

i'm most pleased with the warm-n-safe products - www.warmnsafe.com. the liner is pre-wired to support control of gloves either with or separately from the liner. the gerbing liner has to be specially wired to do this, or a y-wire must be purchased. gerbing will re-wire the liner, but ya gotta tell em first. wns has some new gloves too. i bought a pair of the last year's model, but i bought a pair that's too big. the gerbing g3s are nice and thin, but don't get as warm as the others. no problem for me.

my recommendation is gerbing g3 gloves combined withthe warm-n-safe liner and controllers.
