These were my old rides, now gone. Hoping to sell my Ural sidecar rig and find a nice 93-95 ST1100. :biker:

What speed will that Ural do on the slab, and how long does it take to get there? I heard they were 28HP or something, that right?

The 650 Ural Deco Classic has 40 base horse power and I usually cruise between 55-60 on the roads I ride. Not a fast ride, but it does the job.

Hey Danny ... why not do what I did - find a mint 2002 ST11 and save $$$ over all the new stuff. Just wondering why you'd want a decade old one. You can have a 2002 in two flavours of course, regular and ABS as I did. :biker:

Horst, my wife does not want to ride anymore, and I don't feel right spending much over $5000 on a "toy" that only I will be using. We both have our own cars, so the bike is simply for my solo commuting and light touring useage only. Thus the search for a good quality used bike. The motor on the ST1100 is basically bullet proof, and has almost the carrying capacity of my old Goldwing. But, I would not feel comfortable splurging on a newer bike when my wife will not be enjoying it with me, it would just make me feel guilty and selfish. So, I am self limiting my budget, and that places me in the older bike range. So be it, my search continues. There has to be a good, used ST1100 out there, in my price range and general local, that needs a new home. :)
