I have not had them on the road yet but the mirrors came in today's mail and I put them on the bike. WOW they have a much larger field of vision. No more blind spot! I like them so much I'm thinking of getting a set for the cage.

Couldn't agree more with you. I like them better than any other mirror or add on I've used. A good safety farkle and therefore guilt free.

If you can, post some before and after pictures for the rest of us.

Have you been out after dark? I had a set on my GL1800 and loved 'em until it was dark. Wondering if anyone else felt the same way.

same here..., the stock mirrors were one thing i did not feel comfortable with when i bought the bike......the view to the rear was way too narrow for my comfort...

after buying the reccommended multi-vex mirrors and installing them...i could tell a very noticeble difference....enough that i now can change lanes with confidence on the freeway....of course, I also turn my head to look !

I have been using Multivex mirrors for a few months and love them! :D Unfortunately, I dropped my 04 "blue bomber" :04biker: on it's right side yesterday, so now I'm looking for more.

Last time, I ordered from Todd at Electrical Connection--Great service, but they are currently out of stock. Just ordered online from Multivex...no idea on when they will be available.

Dumb question: I have looked at multiple parts websites, and tried to fine replacement (OEM) mirror casings (mine is scratched pretty bad), but I can't find that part! Any clues what heading it should be under? Or is it just that 2004 is too long ago?

Thanks guys!

Over at BikeBandit.com you can drill down pretty far in the OEM schematics.

Try this link to see if the part you're looking for is here: http://houseofmotorcycles.bikebandit.com/honda-motorcycle-st1300-std-a-abs-2004-upper-cowl/o/m2531sch308570

+1 on the Multivex mirrors. They have to be one of the smartest investments in safety in a long time. Here in Arizona, when the "old folks" are out in force, they are a must. Would not leave home without them!

It seemed to me that I wasn't as sure of the EXACT location of the cars behind me, during the day time I thought they were great.

+1 again for the Multivex mirrors. I can see much better to the rear, especially with the new Pan top box installed. I've been out a lot at night and found no issues for me.

After a small mishap I had to replace the right side mirror cover and mirror. Afetr a year of use I beleive the multivex mirrors are one of the "must have" item. ;-)

I agree 100% and they should be std equipment on all vehicles.

I am going to buy a set of Multive mirrors. They want to know where I plan on mounting them. Where is the best place? Thanks in advance.:03biker: :03biker:

I put mine directly on top of the stock ones. I am surprised they even asked, normally they only need make, model and year.

I dropped my '04 in Lordsburg, NM 2 weeks ago. It popped the mirror cover off, but destroyed my multivex and the stock mirror it was attached to. I have ordered the replacement right mirror from Multivex (www.multivexmirrors.com). He said the machine that bends the glass is waiting from a part and my mirror is backordered for about 4 weeks. with shipping it is $45.00

I installed the Multivex mirrors .
My problem isn't with th Multivex but the stiffness of the mirrors to make adjustments. Is this normal for this bike or is there a way to loosen them up. As it is now I have to take off the mirror covers to adjust the mirrors.

After reading all of these comments, I ordered mine today. $47.70 shipped. Seems like a good investment in safety.:03biker: :03biker:

If you only paid $47, you probably only ordered one mirror. The set runs $73.

Multivex mirror inserts are amazing. The stock mirrors are awful. I've had them since 2004. They really make riding my bike MUCH, MUCH, MUCH safer.

No comparison.

Get them. They are the biggest 'Duh' in motorcycling, particularly considering their low cost.

bike tipped over tonight destroying what I think was a multivex and the stock mirror it was stuck to. Question is, do I need another stock mirror, or can I just stick the multivex right to the mirror mounting point?

The multivex is designed to attach to the stock mirror. It's just the glass (and double sided tape). No frame or bracket that it could be mounted to.

Now then, if the OEM mirror is just cracked, you could probably attach a new multivex to the cracked glass. But if it's really destroyed, you're out of luck.

I have had them on for about a month now and yes, a definite improvement...important safety feature.

I have thought for many years "the blind spot" should somehow be an enforcable liability on the mfgs.....

dosen't seem right as a production item to make something prone to disaster....

well.. my OEM was busted into many many pieces... so I found a nearby trash can and threw it all away.

Placed a order for a replacement multivex last night, but I get an email this morning saying that they are on 4-6 week back order... so I'm going to have to get some kind of mirror to use until then.

I checked the ron ayers catalog, but didn't see a listing for the mirror. Under the "Upper Cowel" it shows the mirror backings, but not the actual glass. Where would be the best place to pick up a replacement right hand mirror?

Interesting. I suspect those are the complete mirror assemblies, in spite of the name. I've never seen Honda sell just the mirror backing without the glass. Service Honda has the old printed parts book online, and that calls it a "Mirror Assembly, Back" as does PowersportsPro.

You might want to call and see if they can confirm that.
