I've been considering purchasing a set of Motorcycle Larry's handlebar risers and was wondering if anyone who has tried them has noticed a decrease in pressure on the palms of the hands and the wrists? Thanks.

Yes, I installed them and noticed the lean angle of my upper body was changed so I lean less onto the bars, as a result I felt less pressure being applied at my hands.
I still feel some pressure when the windshield is up and the back pressure of the wind is strong on my back but it is less than it was before the risers were installed.

I'd say he has a great product at a fair price. For long distance riding they are a must for me and for aggressive riding they are not so high that the sport bike feel is lost.

The only way someone could improve on them would be to make the bar height and position adjustable, raise and lower them with a button like the windshield height control :p:

YES
I have Larry's risers, good product good service receved mine two days after I ordered. Does help on the pressure on wrists & palms. Also Hands no longer hit the fuel tank in a full lock turn. View in rear view mirror a little better because hands block less of the mirror. Better for mounting G.P.S. ect.
One of the best things I have put on my bike.

I bought some risers from Larry right after I bought my bike. They work great. In fact, I need to buy stock in his company. I have bought the lowering kit for the footpegs, drink holder and radar detector mount. Good guy to buy from and great prices.

I've had good luck with them also. I did find it relieves the pressure although not entirely. I believe though that adjusting the seat to be flatter helps with that.

Hi all, first real post, sorry been a lurker ;)

I'm also on the verge of buying a set of risers.
The Helibars and Motorcycle Larry risers are now very similarly priced (within $10), anyone had experience with both or recommend one over the other?
Are the handlebar angles/heights the same, quality any different, easier to fit, better position for mounting GPS etc?
Any help appreciated.

Thanks

I placed the order with Larry and will hopefully have them on the bike by next weekend (optimistic) :) . Hopefully, they will help with the pressure in my palms. I did adjust my seat to be more flat by removing the two rubber pieces and this has made a big difference. I too noticed the helibars have come down in price to $159, and now have some of the features that Larry's offer. I liked the idea that Larry's are solid vs milled out which should help decrease any vibration. :beer3:

I just installed Larry's risers. It does decrease the forward body lean angle so it takes some pressure off the hands but not all of the pressure. I went with Larry's risers cuz he included the RAM mount at no extra charge. Was very easy to install the risers just being very careful to cover everthing so as not to scratch and not to drop anything.

got the risers installed this past weekend and they are great. I rode about 250 miles with them and I no longer have any pressure/pain in my wrists/hands.

Larry's risers are clones of the Heli and GenMar risers.
