Hi guys.

With my last bike, I created a leather mounting system that went on the tank for things like my cell phone and music player (in this case an IPOD). That tied into my Autocom unit and I had easy access to the buttons, etc.

Now that I have the ST, I need to find a new way to mount everything. I could build something out of leather again, but honestly, it was a hell of a lot of work and I dont want to go that way again. RAM mounts seem to be the best way to accomplish something but, and no offense to Farkle people, I dont want it to be like the bridge of the Enterprise. I want to be able to mount the stuff and have it as minimalistic as possible. I've purchased a couple cover mounts from MCL, and my idea is to try to get something that can come off the mounts and instead of going straight up and be high on the handlebars, go down and kinda out of the way.

I am buying a Garmin 2610 to go between the handlebars, so now it's a matter of finding someway of mounting the rest. Anyway have any ideas? I'm looking at RAM's site at the moment seeing if there is something that yells "Pick Me! Pick Me!".

Anyone?

I bought a cradle mount for mine.
May be this will have some thing for you.

I mounted the cradle mount to a magnet and it just goes on the tank.

Maybe a tray type device that slides under one of those shelves that some people have installed on the dash. Sort of slide out and angle down to push buttons on the iPod then snap it back up for cruising.
Don't ask me how, it's just something I'm toying with because like you I want the gadgets to be out of sight.
I thought I might install it in the locking left fairing pocket on some kind of cradle that would hold it in place for button pushing too. I'd love for it to be locked away yet functional. Soon there will be radio frequency remotes for the iPod so I may just wait, buy one of them and mount the iPod in a saddle bag or fairing pocket and find a place to velcro the remote on the handlebars....

Anyway, I'm obviously just in the planning stages. If I come up with something great I'll share the idea. Do the same if you come up with a solution, I'm sure their are many out there who are interested.

Here's my solution:

iPod in pocket. Phone in glove box, charging. When I'm resting, iPod is charging in glove box also!

You could always stick your Ipod and phone in your drinks holder...

Hi Curt.

Sorry I should probably have said Motorcycle Larry (MCL). But the link for the reservoir covers is http://www.motorcyclelarry.com/reservoir_index.asp.

Hope that helps.

Yes... I am now worried that you've drawn a connection.
