After 2 years plus I finally got around to attaching the Lip permanently, using nylon faSTeners.

Don,

Did you do the electric windshield conversion? How's it holding up if you did the conversion.

Jeff, yes I did the conversion juST after I got the bike. I had some teething problems but thanks to Mark Lawrence we got it all dialed in and it has been bullitproof.

With the screen loweST, the air hits me in the forehead. (5-11 w/30in legs, seat low)
At fwy speeds I ride with the screen up about 3" and it is very smooth and reasonably quiet. W/o the Lip it sux..plain and simple. The Lip was one of my firST add-ons and I love it.

Hey Don, break out a ruler for the guys. Measure the increase in length of the shield and the increase in width.

Of course the recurve of the lip makes the effective height of the shield taller than actual.

Golly Norman, the shield is STill the same size! 8)
The Lip measures 22" across at the wideST point. The way I have it mounted, it adds 3/4" (in the ctr) to the height of the STock screen.

I would have guessed 1". Looks like the shoulder coverage is more than an inch.

Could you share what you hoped the lip would do for you, what it did dor for you if anything and how it missed the mark for your needs. Just nudging you for info. I am not interested in the lip but others are and the more specific info at their disposal the better.
