Hi Guys.

I purchased a set of motorcyclelarry's peg lowering brackets and just installed them. The feel is certainly better but I have a couple of issues that I was hoping someone could help with.

1. Now both the shifter and rear breaks are higher than I would like. On my old Sabre, it was simple to see how they adjusted (not that I ever did). But on the ST I am not sure. I assume there is something to adjust behind all the covers but???

2. Again, now that the pegs are lowered, on one ride with them I've already put the back on my heal (size 13) onto the right side pipe. Has anyone else found this?

I guess the jury is out on them for the moment. For SURE they help my leg position, I would just like to see if I can figure out these two issues and go from there.

Any help is appreciated!

Hi Paul.

Thanks for the advice. I actually need to take the bike into get the entire front fairing replaced (it was damaged during shipping), so I am going to see if they will do it for me. I figured I could do it, and was almost positve taking off the black lower moulding would do the trick. Thanks for making me know for sure.

As for fitting them on, the left was real easy and the right need a little "tap" to get the bolt through the lowering bracket into the peg. beyond that it all seems to go well. Although I just noticed that my kickstand does actually hit it on the way up. Not a lot but....

I am gald to hear your happy with them. I am a little bit of a worry wort and well the two issues were bugging me. After posting the original mesasge I went back up and made a mental note of where I was putting my feat and I dont thin it's an issue. The reason I git the pipes to begin with was that I put the balls of my feet on the back of the pegs, and this will hit the pipes. Just have to remember to be concious of it and it should not be a problem.

Thanks again for the info!

I bought the lowering kit and installed them a couple of weeks ago. They definitely don't work when you are on twisty roads. I found out the hard way yesterday when I leaned a little too far and I went off the road. I will be taking mine off today.

They should have folded back just like if you scrape the stock setup. Maybe there is a sharp edge that caught on the bracket. What marks do you see on the mount.

Yah, I'm fine and the bike didn't get a scratch. My pride is a little hurt but I can deal with that.
