Has anyone installed handlebar risers on their ST. What brand? How hard to install? What modifications to bike?
Thanks

There is quite a bit on risers in the Farkle section. If you do an advanced search for risers you will find quite a bit of information.

Basically there are two types of risers and two manufacturers that basically make the same to styles.

There are risers and then there is the riser plate. The risers bring the bars up about an inch. The riser plate brings the bars up an inch and back 2 inches.

The two manufacturers are Heli-Bars and Motorcycle Larry.
Motorcycle Larry (http://www.motorcyclelarry.com/mc.htm)

HeliBars (http://www.helibars.com/pics/honda/st1300.html)

Both are almost even in price now so it's just a matter of finding the best deal. As far as install goes they are pretty much the same if not identical.

Riding position is different for every rider most there's quite a few people that prefere to be up a little more than the ST comes stock. I have the riser plate because I have neck/back and wrist issues as do many others.

That should get you started. The farkles section will have types on the install but it's basically a one hour job to do or maybe two if you're taking your time but that's about the max I would think barring any user errors. ;)

This link will give you the instructions:

Also this link from Saturdday will be a help:

Note: Make note of the duct tape item in this post. It makes it real easy to get the nut/washer both on and off the bottom of the riser. Use your socket to finish pulling them off and to restart them. If you need pics and can supply them. This was the most difficult part for me anyhow. I have big hands.

As noted above by Curt there are numerous links here on installs.
