Hi All
Last bike was a VTX 1800. I am wondering how do you replace the headlight and tail light bulbs?
Thanks

Look in the Lighting & Visibility Forums for some threads on the subject.
In short the headlight bulbs are replaced from inside the fairing, you grasp the round collar/seal where the three wires connect to the back of the two headlight assemblies and press two tabs at 3 and 9 o'clock while pulling to the rear. Some have success from coming up from underneath and some of us come in from the rear past the handlebars. The tabs aren't very big and are felt better than seen. This releases the wiring connector. The bulb is held in the light reflector with a spring clip that has to be unhitched.
The taillight bulbs are accessed by removing the black plastic lower rear fender under the light assembly. There are 4 allen head screws (5 mm??) that are kind of hidden under the back side of the lower fender.

Although this is on replacing the stock bulbs with standard H4 bulbs it may help you see what the back of the headlamp assembly looks like. The biggest issue people usually have is getting the H4 connector off of the back of the bulb.

There are two ways to get to the connector. Turn the handlebars all the way to one side and the reach down in. Pinch the H4 connector on the sides and then pull the connector off. This seems easy but causes some people great pain. You can also reach up behind the headlamp assembly by squatting down in front of the bike.
The taillights are just like Dave said. You remove 4 allen screws (all 5mm) to remove the rear fender. Two allens face straight out the back of the bike just above the license plate. The other two face down on the inside of the fender. Once you drop the fender you can look up inside the tail section of the bike. You turn the back of the bulb until it stops and then pull it straight out. I forget which direction to turn it but I'm guessing it's CCW to get out and CW to get it back in.

Call me if you get stuck on the headlights and I'll come out and give you a hand. The first time can be a real PIA.
