WHERE DO YOU HAVE YOUR SEAT?

Just curious as to how many use the low, medium or high on the seat height..

I use the high because I'm 6'2 but tried the medium position and it wasnt bad.. :-| :03biker: :? :-x

I use medium. High just makes me feel like I an on top of the bike where with medium I feel like I am sitting in the bike. I am 6'4.5", 34" inseam.

6'2"... I use em all on a long trip. Mostly alternate between the middle and top every gas stop to give my poor old knees a different bend.

Low... 5'10.5'' w/29'' inseam when I wake up :D ... short legs. Wish I could get the Russel, but hey, that Corbin looks good too! :)

Low, 5'9" 30"inseam. I would like it a half inch lower for pushing around when stopped, and 2 inches higher for footpeg seat relationship.

I´m 179 cm, what´s that in overseas measurement?, and wearing Levis with 32´inseam. Just the other day I managed to put my seat on middle in front and lowest in back with the help of a hotairgun and some musclework.
It did the trick, very little slideing in the saddle!
BTW, it´s a :04biker: BLUE 1300 :04biker: , the fastest. :D

I've got the front of the seat on the highest position and the back at the lowest. I had to whack the little loop thingys that engage with the back of the seat to bend them to the rear slightly to make this work. At least the seat is relatively flat now with no more tendancy to slide me nuts into the tank. The improvement is good enough that I'm going to put off replacing it for a while.

I'm 5'7" 160 lbs, I've had it in the lowest with the rubber biscuits off the "tangs" at the back of the front seat. I've now moved the front up to the middle with the back of the front down. I hate the slide forward thing, put's pressure on wrists, and other areas, as well as making my butt sore. I've yet to ride it with this new position..see how it feels. Stepping off a Vulcan 1500 with 26 in seat height to the this has been a sSTtrettccch. Fine with balance but I sure can't paddle the bike backward up hill or into the wind..... :-P

Lowest settings with a Sargent seat. I've also tried the Med setting which didn't feel like much of a stretch but I could tell a real difference at the high setting.

5'8" inseam-short  :D

Stock Seat. High all the time. MY bad right knee likes the leg room.

Low position with my new Russell. The Russell is a taller seat, so it's like being in the middle position with the stock or Sargent seats. I'm 6'2" with a short 32" inseam.

I have mine on the high setting at the front and I'm 5'8" with a 29.5 inseam. I've never had a problem. Some of you have mentioned the 'rear' adjustment?? Can they all do that? If so how?

Thanks

Don

I have seen a few people respond with their seat high in the front and middle in the back. Or middle front and lowest rear. How are you folks doing that?

Scotch, 5'8, 28" - low, which isn't quite low enough.

My seat is set with the front on the highest setting and the rear on medium. This is the only way the seat feels flat for me.

High position front, middle postion back. 6' 2" 35" inseam.

Thanks, Jeff, for pointing out you can "force" the back into a lower position!

not had my pan long am 6--1 and like it low---low knees are a bit bent but like sitting in rather than on the bike and pushed into the tank stop my but sliding around the better half likes it higher so she cant see strait ahead (please some of the people some of the time but not all etc etc )

Middle - middle. I'm 5'8" with a 30" (OK maybe 29" :D ) inseam. I can almost flatfoot it but I need the extra height because of a soccer injury in my right knee.
