The PIAAs were on my bike when I got it from the previous owner. I was going to take them off and sell them before selling the bike.
Does anyone remember if the lower bolt that goes through the bracket and attaches to the mirror is a longer bolt that came with the kit or was it the existing oem bolt?
TIA

Yes, it is a longer bolt that Dick supplied with the bracket.

I had to think long and hard about helping a guy that is dumping his ST1300.
But who knows, I may return to a Wing someday too. LIKE WHEN I'M 70!
:)
Just kidding with you. I came off an '04 Wing to an '05 ST. Some things I miss, some I don't. Good luck with your new ride.

Mellow,
You selling your ST? If so, what are you buying? :04biker:

Boy, did you miss out on the conversation... check the Don't Shoot Me Post...
I'm selling the ST and returning to the land of the Wings... but, you aren't getting rid of me that easily.. I'm like glue... super glue...
Haven't done anything just yet, still in the investigation phase to see what year/color Wing I want and still need a buyer for the ST.

Is faST drying glue made from race horses?

Have you sold the lites and brackets yet? If not I might be interested.

txcpl (Pete) already has dibs on the lights.
I'm not sure yet if I'm taking them off. It will leave holes beneath the mirrors and I know I wouldn't want to buy a bike with holes in it myself...
Still thinking on that one...

Sell lights, brackets, and mirror cowls as a package. I'm good for that. Will paint the cowls blue -- their proper color anyway.
(Just asking again :-) )

I finally got my Dick Seng brackets and the 910s mounted. The 9162 kit seems pretty comprehensive - but no fuse on the power leads? Is it integrated in the relay or something - (circuit breaker?) or should I fuse it?
If so should the fuse be around 20amp? Calcs to about 16 amps with 220 watts and 13.8 volts?
I mounted the relay up under the front fairing where the BLM brackets would have fone - fit great - thought I did have to "extend" the positive and negative leads a bit to reach the battery.
I have not made the final connections yet - it would seem to need a fuse.
But no mention in the instructions?

Charlie,
Yep, got the lights from Dick (a VERY long time ago!) - it is the "9162" PIAA 910 "kit". Harness, relay and "micro" switch was included - one VERY large relay - but NO fuses and instructions show wiring direct to battery.
Think I'll email PIAA to make sure. Built in circuit breaker maybe?
But now that the sun is out - time to ride!!

Charlie,
Where did you tap into the highbeam wire?
