I just got off the phone with Brian Hunt at Jocko's Beach Resort and he is now taking deposits for the motel rooms. All the rooms must be reserved with a $75 deposit by the end of January with the balance due on check in.
Please call the resort at (613) 752-2107 or 1-866-376-6285 as soon as you can and make your arrangements. Just mention my name: Chris McKnight ,and that you are with the motorcycle group.
There are 10 motel units available, each with 2 queen beds so I will leave it up to y'all to coordinate sleeping arrangements.

The plan is to ride up Thursday and stay the 3 nights so we can have 2 full days of riding etc. Last years event went by way too fast.

Too bad I am working all weekend otherwise I would be out scouting out some roads.

We just spent a glorious week up at Jockos in one of their chalets. We checked out some great roads, scenery and eating establishments during our rides. Jockos now under new ownership but still offers the same great accomodations so there will be no problem with our stay in a few weeks.
The rates when we booked were last years rates of $89/night and unfortunately they have gone up to $99/ night for 2008 just like everything else. It is still a bargain to stay here compared to other places in the area.
Only 19 days to go now and I hope to see everyone soon.

It IS August!! I had a wee incident three weeks ago with the Wing, went down on a patch of extremely greasy road at low speed and scratched it up pretty good. Will tell the story at Jocko's later. Just getting it back together with new parts. Mostly cosmetic but not cheap. I'm good and I will be there!!

Don't forget to bring your bathing suit and beach towel if you are planning a swim in Calabogie Lake.
Jockos has a nice beach area and there is a public beach next door.
