There is only one local restaurant open for breakfast close by but we could ride to others or look after our own at the motel as there are cooking facilities in each unit ... Maybe Mac can cook us up a storm in his bunkhouse:D
Lunches will most likely be on the route somewhere once I get a chance to check it out.
Supper options include preparing group meals at the motel(lots of BBQ's available), a group dinner at one of the local restaurants, or somewhere on route.
I am open to suggestions and I am going to try and post a poll to get the groups preferences. There are grocery and liquor stores in town for all the essentials.

Breakfast a ways out is the reward for an early start.
Lunch has to be out since we'll be half way through the day's ride.
I like the idea of supper at the motel...nice co-operative effort as well all get together and go over the day's ride. There will be multiple nights...how about one cookout and one restaurant thing? [Chris and Sam were stellar in their support of food at Animal House last summer, by the way.]
Is there caveman TV available at the motel?
Is is August yet?

Hey Chris,
Lets keep it simple, The restaurant option although more expensive would be so much more convenient, if we are running behind our planned schedule no one has to run back to start dinner. This would also allow more saddle time due to no lost time cleaning up and preparing meals. Maybe we start early stop for breakfast after an hour of riding. Then finish off the day a little later for dinner. Followed by caveman tv and refreshments, lets all relax together this year. Just my thoughts, don't get me wrong you and Sam did a great job last year and I completely appreciate what you both did, but i don't think it was fair to place such a burden on anyone.
Lookin forward to OnSTOC 2008

Well, I threw a vote in there to do suppers at the motel and other meals elsewhere, but, I'm easy. I think Stan's idea of mixing it up and having more R&R time is good too. I also think Chris & Sam worked a bit too hard last year, and deserve some time off. I'm really looking forward to this one!!!!

Sam and I were thinking of doing up a batch of Chili for one night which we could leave in slow cookers so it would be nice and hot when we arrive back from the days ride. Possibly we could have a BBQ utilizing the multiple grills available at the motel on one of the other nights.
You are right Stan about the prep and clean up time, but these meal options minimize that and should not cut in on our social time too much.
The restaurant option, although more convenient, can be a PITA with a large group and waste a lot of time. I will scout out the area in the spring and see if I can find a place with a separate banquet room to accomodate us.

I voted for the first option suppers at the motel but I prefer Bones's suggestion of maybe only 1 BBQ at the motel and eat out as well. I too want to see Chris and Sam relax and enjoy the event. They worked way too hard last year.
