View Full Version : Guess it's my turn
My wife has been having trouble with her knee for a while. She thought she twisted it. Last week it got bad enough for her to go to the Dr. After an MRI and many x-rays, they found a "mass" on her knee. We are trying to patiently wait for the orthopedic surgeon appointment on Friday.... The Dr. was very sober when she told my wife about it. Doesn't look good....
I'll report more when I find out more...

Think positive Sink.
My wife went through the breast lump scare about a month ago. She was prepared for the worst.
Thankfully it was nothing.
Hope it's the same in your case.

Dang, sorry hear that Sink! :pray1:
After hearing this, maybe I need to take my knee in and have it looked at. About two weeks ago, I thought I twisted it, so I put a brace on for a couple of days and it made it worse. So now I put IcyHot on it and just walk on it and try not to bend down or get on that knee anymore then I need to! :o4:

Hey, we all need prayers sooner or later.
Sink, after all the smiles you have put on my face with your posts, the least I can do is offer my prayers for Mrs. Sink. Please do keep us posted.
For what it's worth, many doctors seem to have this nasty habit of scaring the crap out of people by detailing the worst case scenario up front. I suspect they do this on the advice of their lawyers or their malpractice insurance provider, but that's just a hunch.

Hang in there :-)
Thanks to all for you comforting thoughts and prayers. They are really appreciated!
She got the radiologist report to take to the surgeon, and of course she read it. Says they think it's malignant and probably lymphoma. Her brother had lymphoma too. Looks like a rough one, but she is very strong and stubborn.

Oh man SINK! So very sorry to read about your wife's knee problem! I know how you feel with my Mom's recent cancer scare and my Dad fighting bone cancer! All my best wishes to you and your wife! I'll keep you, your wife and family in my prayers for sure! And here I was hoping it was just a blob of BACON.:(
Keep up the good spirits my friend! Medicine has come a long way! Bet they get her all healed up sooner than you think!
(God grant Sink's wife a full recovery, Sink and his wife the strength to deal with this and the peace to keep their wits while the healing is going on!!!:pray1: )

Contrary to what many think, the 'C' word is not the end of the world, it can be fought, and strong and stubborn is the way to do it, my SO is and she kicked it, so did Stumpy and many others.. Tell her we are on her side and to keep a positive attitude.

Prayers out to you and your wife! You both will make it through this tough time.
We have very positive attitudes about the situation. Being negative will not help anything. As STumpy told me the other night, most cancer is curable and all is treatable. Thanks for all the support! THIS IS THE BEST SITE IN THE WORLD!!! (now back to the humor)
