Joe Harrison Honda has a decent deal going on tires and installation.
Tire price is half of highest suggested retail plus $70 for installation. With their tire discount it's about $46 dollars cheaper than I can get myself on-line.
When making a service appointment they don't say you have to talk to their parts guy to actually order the tire even though you tell the service guy exactly the tire you want when making the appointment.
My brother learned this the hard way when bringing his bike in to have a new tire installed. Tire was never ordered and the service department does not talk to the parts department.
Knowing this, I ordered a tire through their parts department after making the service appointment which was nine days away.
A couple of days after ordering the tire I called to make sure the order was placed and give them the opportunity to tell me if there would be any problem. They told me the tire was ordered.
Today, the day before my service appointment, I call to see if I can drop my bike off and also to check on the tire -
Parts guy didn't know anything about my order, he said they don't have this tire in hand and will call me back. Four hours later, no word, I call him and learn the tire is "not available and will not be for some time".
The last service they did was installing new rear brakes. They installed the wrong brake pads, not the Honda pads I asked for. I had to take the bike as-is and bring it back a few days later after they ordered the correct Honda pads. On top of this the brakes were rubbing with the wrong pads and are still rubbing with the Honda Pads.
This is the same dealer that thought my 90 degree valve stem was plastic and said most everything I read in these on-line message boards is bogus.
I'm going up the road to 35 North Honda in New Braunfels and will pay $50 more for the tire and installation but it's worth it. They also have the tire I want in stock.
