So post up and show us your tents, chairs, etc!

I'll try and find one tonight....I think I have a good one of Finewest from our last trip!

And those black hands? No, not for a carry permit. No, I wasn't finger painting. No, that's what happens when you ride in soaking rain without waterproof gloves. Took a whole box of powdered handsoap to clean that off. (Better blue gloves on the outside than black hands on the inside.)

could it be "grant's village?"

A friend and I stayed there last year for a night, but it was very crowded. we left early the next morning due to serious hangovers, very hard ground, and the guy in the campsite next to us constantly sparking doobies in his tent.

The name sounds familiar... might be it...

We camped near the restrooms and it was a nice quiet night except a couple people decided they wanted to stand by the restrooms and talk loudly... kinda rude in my opinion but when you are in one of these campgrounds, not everyone has the 'common sense' and target of enjoying a nice quiet night.

I have no problem packing up and moving to another site if fellow campers are obnoxious.. I usually camp on non-holidays primarily to reduce those situations from happening.

Top Gear knows how to handle a 'caravan'!!!
And I agree; that is the only thing that should be done with many of the RVs that come to AZ every winter!!!

Top Gear is good TV. I think the episode with the caravan holiday was really funny. Dangerous but funny. The TV folk love destroying caravans have you seen Brainiacs they blow one up in every show.
I agree with a lot of the argument about caravans been a pain in the a** when you end up behind one thats struggling up hills and braking every second on the down hill stretches. But in my defence I honestly dont think I cause those problems. It's all down to having the right tow vehicle and a four litre Jeep with induction kit and high lift cam is powerful enough to pull my caravan up any hill with the flow of traffic, and heavy enough to slow it down. I have on occastions beaten cars off from the lights, especially when you know they are in the wrong lane and want the same lane as you and think they can pass by out dragging you at the lights.....Silly people...no chance. I do have an evil streak.

Thought it would be nice to have a thread dedicated to photos of camp sites.
So post up and show us your tents, chairs, etc!

I'll try and find one tonight....I think I have a good one of Finewest from our last trip!

<D>C'mon Mellow, show us your "chair" :p:

Here's some of the campsite pics from my recent trip. It's an 8'x7' Coleman tent. It and the sleeping bag, thermarest pad, and hammer for tent stakes all fit in my left hand saddlebag. Other camping gear like jet boil stove, coffee fixin's, utensils, in right side. Clothes, laptop in rear trunk. No deck chairs, cots, etc. We be bare bones. :D

Other campsite pics are in with my trip reports at link in my sig below.

Locations l to r: Calaveras Big Trees St Prk, Mt Lassen NP, Crater Lake NP, Iron Creek, Van Duzen (Humboldt County).

Tented every night in July but only got photos of 2 sites. Thunder storms about blew away in Gillette (BMW MOA rally).
