Well I booked my room today for the WeSTOC in Taos and sent off my registration along with an Email letting them know I'll be there. This is my first and I'm looking forward to meeting a lot ST owners. I'll be comming from Dallas and probably spend the nite of the 23rdd of June in Amarillo TX. It would be great to meet up with anyone going that way in Amarillo and finish the ride together on the 24th into Taos. Anyone interested can email me at txdon2006@hotmail.com.

I will be riding from Jackson, MS to WESTOC XIII. I will go right thru Dallas and would like to meet up with you.
I do not understand why you want to be in Taos on the 23rd?
I think check-in is on the 24th. Am I missing something.

I'll be passing through Dallas on my way from LA. and usually spend the night north of town, then run Dallas to Amarillio to Santa Rosa NM. I have found that Santa Rosa makes a great stopping point. There is a very clean Motel 6 a Ramada and a SUper * there right on I-40. There is also a Denny's, a pretty good Mexican resturant and a DQ all in walking distance.
Might want to think about it, not that much further and the run to Taos the next day is much shorter.

If ya go north outa Tucumcari toward Las Vegas it's real purty. It's about 100 minles and ya come into Taos on the road less traveled.

After leaving Dallas and getting to Amarillo, my trip plans include going North out of Amarillo up to Dumas and then swing NW up to Clayton NM. Then I'm taking NM 412 west out of Clayton to I-25 then North to 58. 58 then heads west into the mountains and you go through Cimmarron where it turns to 64. 64 goes through Eagle Nest and by Angel Fire and then into TAOS. It's a beautiful ride. Dallas to Amarillo one day, and the Second day is from Amarillo to Taos.

That just makes too long of a day for me...about 12 hours on that route

Check here. By the way, When are you all going to be going thru Wichita Falls, and what time and where are you all going to be staying in Amarillo?
