I'm new and wanted to say hi.I'm going to get the new st this morning. It's really gonna be my wifes bike [I have an fz1]but I'm just as excited about it as her.I can see arguments about who is gonna ride what looming. Also the st will be much better for two up than my fz.

Welcome to the site.... hopefully, we'll see you post again in the next week or two... sometimes, after getting the bike, people disappear... I just haven't been able to explain it... oh well...

hey mtnbkr, congrats on the new purchase! I'm curious, since you are already a Yammy owner, what made you pick the ST over the FJR? My wife and I made the same decision as you, but I would like to hear your critical decision points.

As far as 2-up goes, I always wondered why the seat continued behind the FZ1 rider.

Hi mtnbkr and welcome to the forum. I'm also a n00b around here, so we have some things in common. I'm picking up my ST tomorrow, and sold an FZ1 last year. Can't wait to see your comparisons! I'm sure I'll have some...

Welcome aboard, mtnbkr! I hope your wife will also post on this site, as I'm really interested to hear what she has to say about her new ST.

Congrats and Cheers,

Welcome and enjoy the give and take. How'd the pick up go? A full report with pics is required of all newbies. :D
