I'll be going from Charlotte, NC to Lexington, KY on Thursday and staying with some friends.
Anyone have some route suggestions from Lex, KY to Terre Haute,IN? I plan on leaving KY around 8 or 9 am on Friday and checking into the hotel in IN around 3 to 5 pm before the Friday night dinner. It's not too far so maybe I'll have time to see some good sights.

Ray, get a map and draw a line between Lexington and Terre Haute. Try to stay as close to that line as possible (while avoiding I-65.) There's a ton of beautiful country all through there. Got to maps.google.com and put in your A and Z points, then grab and drag the blue line to whatever seems reasonable. Keep us posted on your final route.

BTW, US-421 to Madison, IN is a good start.

That's prolly the most direct 2-lane route. 46 flattens out west of Bloomington. There's a lot of fun stuff south of 46 if ya have time.
