Is anyone interested in a Law Enforcement Sport Touring Group? No dues, no BS, just guys with the same job and hobby getting together for a ride now and then.
Ideas?

No worries. I envision groups here and there and a once a year national.

I'm in! Er, that is if you let broken down retired guys join.
ps-- our Blue Knights chapter here in Bend, OR V, is predominantly sport tourers. Some beemers, an FJR, some fast Duc guys, and 3 ST 1300s, [counting me when I pick up my 07 ABS in 2-3 weeks].

Can you guess what the club logo stands for??
I thought that it should have thin blue lines... I see a porcine nose...

It's a type of nose....
... I see a porcine nose...
Right! Porcine: resembling a swine or a pig.
I'd be interested if something gets going.

Flying pig?
Outstanding George!
The name of the Police Sport Touring Group will be "The Flying Pigs"
I am still putting it together, but I envision candidates sending me something attesting to their current or former police service (or sheriff, or correctional officer) to join and maybe $3 to cover shipping of the posted decal. Members would also receive a number that is their's for life. I would maintain a master list.
Local groups could plan their own get togethers and maybe we could do an annual rally.
Brad (FPMC#1).

Sounds like a plan. Are relatives invited to attend the rallies? I have a strong attachement to straycatt. :D

Nice work! PM me your address so I can send you a couple HMWs.
Below is a fuzzy photo of the logos in vinyl. They can be had in black or silver and are 5 inches long. I will have to charge a small amount for them to cover the costs, probably something like $1 each delivered. I am still working on how to set this up.

I'm interested.
Me too. Let us know. When the HMWs arrive, I'm going to send a patch out your way. It's the only 'give-away' I have.
When I first saw the HMWs, I made this for a buddy who gave up his BMW for an HD. I printed it on a sheet of paper...

I was his supervisor at the time. I told him it would reflect in his annual performance evaluation under "Judgment" :p:

You are more than welcome to join.:D (green smiley for Ireland).
I am contemplating a website for this group. I don't have any experience with setting one up, but I'd like to learn. I can see this thing growing into a big deal with subgroups and nation get togethers.

How about you go ahead and start that site now - leave this one for riders that dont think its necessary to break it down further into special interest groups- now is that a LEO sport touring group, or a LEO ST1300 sport touring group? And supposin' you all, while out LEO sport tourin', were to come across some of us regular, non LEO sport tourers, would we be allowed under your rules to join you, or would......ahhhhh, fugetaboudit

Quick update: 3.4 hours flown, 20 tickets, 11 speeding, 5 following to close, 3 commercial vehicle violations, only ONE aggressive driving! We got him from the air and a unit on the ground ahead of him hit him with laser and stopped him. He asked how the deputy saw him weaving and following too close...deputy said...See that airplane...
