Local LEO (rides his own '03) was shot twice today.
Once in chest (bullet proof vest), once in thigh.
His K9 was grazed; both are expected to recover.

The thief opened fire wounded the 2 and 2 other officers shot him dead.

All my best to both of them.

This kind'a story scares me. Glad both are relatively ok.

Sad state of affairs! I certainly wouldn't want a bullet wound to the thigh! Or my dog shot!

Wow, glad they will both come out of this okay.

I have no words at all for the perp. Well, nothing I'd care to type for fear of violating my own posting rules.

Glad to hear they are both ok and hopefully will recover fully, thankfully posting rules prevent me airing my thoughts.

I am four square with Joe on this one.

Thank God he was wearing a vest...

Glad to hear both escaped with their lives the officer and the dog I mean of course. And at this point I stop so Joe dosn't have to get the eraser out again.

I've been on some rides with Officer Rick-- super nice guy.

Listened to this report on the radio the other day and didn't think too much about it. Boy does it hit 'home' now.

Hope he's ok.

Appears the taxpayers will be saved the money/time of a trial.

LEO shot over $100 in a tip jar.
Glad they're expected to recover.
+1 no trial.

God speed on his recovery. I'm a LEO in Nor Cal and have lost a friend in the past to a shooting. Thank God he and his partner are okay.
