It's bad enough spending money getting my track bike all set up, but with all this talk about risers going on lately, you guys got me looking around at them.

Dammit, you guys made me go out and spend some more of my money on the ST1300. First it was the Sargent group buy and now this! :D I just ordered a set of Motorcycle Larry's risers and fork brace!

Oh yeah, my wife hates you guys! :04biker: :D

Don't even talk to me about the cost of farkles. Since February when I got my bike, I've spent almost half again what I paid for the bike. :22yikes: But the bright side is it's just exactly the way I want it!

Heck, who needs to eat everyday of the week....

Yeah, well my wife is whining about how much I'm spending on my ST, and is saying I should trade it in on a GOLDWING instead! I mean, how low would I have to sink to end up on one of THOSE!

You think ST farkles cost, we have friends who each have an 1800 Wing, and she is fondly known as The Chrome Queen. At last count, she had well over $5000.00 in chrome and other goodies on her Gold Wing!

Well, I'm not going to spend any money on farkles on my new Wing. :D

That's because, from what I hear so far, Wingers don't buy farkles. They buy accessories!

BTW Rick, do you have an Autocomm intercom on your STeed so you and the wife can converse. Or maybe you don't want to :D

Remember, "You can be right or you can be happy"

And you will become Sparkleholics, or Chromeholics... I was always amazed at how much chrome goodies were for my Sabre  Can't even imagine for the GW ;)

I wonder how much weight, 5 grand adds to a GW. Must be considerable.

Chromed plastic is surprisingly light-weight. :D

Well, three days later my risers and front brace arrived. Wow, talk about super fast service and shipping. Big thumbs up for Motorcycle Larrys

I went out to the garage and installed both of them on the ST1300. Took about 30 minutes to install the risers and brace. The instructions were great and it made the job super simple.

I haven't got to ride the ST1300 with the riser, because I have to get ready for work. I can tell from just sitting on the ST1300 that it going to be so more more comfortable for me. I felt like I was streaching for the handle bars with the stock setup, now it feels just right.

Let's see I have 1200 miles on the ST1300 and I already bought the Hondaline top box, MCL risers, MCL brace and Sargent seat. At this rate I'll be broke before I reach 5000 miles! :D

No sympathy (eXpresso is someone else's job) for you, Rick. :D . This is another way to make :biker: and :04biker: faster, with less drag generated by a much slimmer back pocket. I've noticed that my :03biker: has also gotten faster over the last 3 months.
Join the club. So far no real complaints from the wife, although I do get some stoney looks as I work in the garage.

Rick, know all too well what it's like to spend money on these wonderful machines. But so far what I've spent has been worth it, enjoy the ST more each time I ride it.

Just wish I had the heated grips installed, hands got a bit cold going to work this morning when the temp was 30 degrees, but that will have to wait for another week or so.

Farkles are a lot more fun than installing "Safety Chrome" ever was when I had my wing.
