View Full Version : Rear Wheel Hugger
Does anyone know if a rear wheel hugger is available for the st1300? It would be nice to keep some road crap off the shock and rear swingarm.
I searched but did not find anything. Thanks

Here you go...
Rear Flap (http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/Body.html#Fenders)
Just go down a little to see the rear flap that you sound like you desire...
It's not a fender extender. A hugger mounts just in front of the rear wheel just above the tire. On sport bikes it usually includes a chain guard, which of course is not required. See pix..
Drew, I know 'zactly what you mean but I have not seen one....yet.

Drew, try bike-quip@stx1300-accessories.co.uk they have a "Rear-Shock" protector that works very well in keeping the crap off the shock & rear end.
Keith the guy who invented the cover is very helpfull and post's to the USA or anywhere.I had one of the first he made and it's simple to install and comes with the drill-bite as well in the price.
Regards Andy.

Make one using a inner tube from a car. YOu should be able to get a discarded one from a tyre shop. Cut it open and to the correct length and then install using some glue/tie-wrap/plastic bolts. The curvature of the tube makes it conform to the space in the wheel well.
