Need the wisdom of the collective.

I have a blue sea on a relay. 14g wire from Battery to the Blue Sea.

Can I wire the Gerbing harness to the Blue Sea with a 15 amp (thats whats in-line on the gerbing harness)?

I would prefer to have switched power and I already have the bike, blue sea and charger pigtail direct to the battery.

That should be fine. I'm guessing Gerbing jacket is bout 100watts@12V or in the neighborhood of 8amps. Maybe another 2amps or so gloves.

+1 on the relay to the heated gear. I'm wired direct right now and I'm going to change that around when I get around to it. Maybe even add a turn on delay for the relay to the fuse block, to minimize load during starting.

14gage may be a little skinny depending on future farkles.

The Blue Sea fuseblock will work for the Gerbings, but if you add much more to the block maybe you should upgrade the feed to AWG12. If you do need to upgrade the feed, do it on both the battery and block sides of the relay.

When I set up my Centech and relays I used two AWG12 wires for the +12V and the ground going to the project box.

From there, single AWG12 wires to lights and horn. For my future farkles I think smaller wires for each item.

I have AWG10 to power/ground the Blue Sea and then run AWG12 to my horns and AWG14 to everything else.

Blue sea is perfect for the heated gear, I run two sets, horn, etc, but I agree a larger wire to feed the unit. I assume your relay is rated for 30 amps?

Go for it Chris. It makes for a clean installation. We have both of the Powerlets by the preload adjuster going to individual circuits on the Blue Sea fuse block. We use those powerlets for our heated clothing.
