The Heli Risers came in today. It took less than 30 minutes to install them. The ride is great, I love the new position. The ruber shock mount may cause some to be a little unsettled but since I used a tork wrench to set the bolts I am alright with it. In fact the rubber shock system makes a smooth ride even smoother.

I have my heli risers on order. Were there any particularly difficult moments during the installation?

I followed the directions and it was too easy! There is plenty of slack in the lines. The instructions caution you to remember where the button head bolts (the big bolts) go so you don't put them in the wrong hole. I did put a bath towel on the gas tank to prevent paint damage. :D

Anthony,
Did you torque the bolts according to the instruction sheet or by the tech manual? I'm in the process of installing as well but I think there is a discrepency between the two. I have a manual on order, but if you used one could you share the specs with me?
Thx,
Bruce

I followed the instruction sheet that came with the Heli Adapters. I saw your question and the response you got. Wonder why there is a difference. Maybe some one can tell us which numbers to use and why.

Yo, Guys, Heli's are on the way. What size hex socket do i need? -Is 6mm correct?. How do you safely-read-don't scratch-get those little caps off the bolt tops? Verify all the brake, clutch, and electric lines and throttle cables have enuf play to accommodate new position. :bow1:

The caps are plastic press fit into the heads of the hex bolts. I used a very small screwdriver to pry them off with no damage. As for the hex sizes, 6mm for the bolts and 5mm for the bolts securing the brake/clutch/throttle lines in front of the fork.
