I've got mine mounted on left TC mount but I'm waiting for a VisualAlert so I have not used it yet. I mounted on left mount since I did not want to adjust with throttle hand.

But then I was thinking the right mount might be better since the display is aimed to the left to conform to American cars with left steering wheel and the unit mounted in center of windshield of car.

To those that have mounted on left side, does this angle make reading the Escort difficult?

To those that have mounted on right side, does using the throttle hand to adjust the Escort a problem?

In either case, do the windshield arms block the radar detector from working fully?

Thanks,
Tom

Believe it or not I have a radar detector fitted to my bike and I have used the turbo city mount fitted to the right.

I thought it better there as bearing in mind we ride on the left side of the road the detector would be more central to the roadway.

It seems to work perfectly there.

I had it mounted on the left side and never had any difficulty reading the display.

That side seems it would be preferred so that alerts could be muted easily etc etc.

This is something I added to mine for alerts, it's called a Marc Parnes visual alert, specifically for the Escort. It took "alot" of work to sand down the bottom of it so that it would be at the correct angle once attached to the dash. It worked very well... I still have it... send me a pm we'll talk ;)

Anyway, I like the left side personally.

I use the Escort 9500i, and the left side TC mount. Works fine - the laser diode seems to be just to the left of the windshield mount on mine.
