We are changing the scheduled lunch ride for this coming Saturday to Saturday the Ides of March (15th).
There will be too much snow on the ground this Saturday morning to be riding motorcycles.
We will meet at Noon at William's Tavern in Washington, Arkansas. Washington, AR is in Southwest Arkansas near Texarkana eight miles north of a town called Hope.
Old Washington is a former state capitol of Arkansas, the location of where the famous Bowie knife was supposedly made of an interstellar iron meteorite for Jim Bowie while he was on his way from Memphis to Old Mexico (Texas). The blacksmith shop is still in operation and now is part of a 'smithy' school. Davy Crockett ate in this tavern, as did many other notable characters in American history.
