McCruise Unit Owners and the Honda Recall

Can someone inform me if the McCruise Cruise Control would interfere with replacement of the ground connector cap? Don't know whether to wait till the inspection is done, or go ahead and install it. :confused:
Up here in Ontario the recall parts are supposedly still backordered. One ST owner I know went back and retrived his bike after having it sitting in the shop for over a week. Told the dealer to button it back up and call him when the parts finally show up.

No. The ground connector is located towards the rear of the air filter chamber. Although the actuator cable runs near there it will NOT interfere at all with the recall.

I had my recall done with the cruise installed.

Ditto. No issues at all, other than the dealer wanted to know where he could get one!!!

That's what I needed to hear. I just needed a second opinion. :D
By the way, is the speed control switch mounted on the handlebar weatherproof and if not, what do you cover it with? Ziplock bag? The last half of the coming week is supposed to have nothing but :rain1: so you know what I'll be doing. :p:
