Last year's main ride went very well. I'll probably be doing that one again this year. (Rick has a modified version of this ride that adds about 50 miles to it, but makes it way better!). From the link, though, you can get a rough idea of the route.

I'm open to suggestions for the Friday ride.... how about a Rock Store route of some sort?

Here's the route that we did last year. Me and a couple of buddies joined the ride at Banning after the main group had come down from Crestline.
The part that I recommended was taking 74 / 371 / 79S from Idlywild down to Temecula instead of going to Hemet, and then going back in to De Luz to get to Lake Elsinore area rather than taking I-15. Very scenic ride through avocado groves, etc. 275 miles total.
Map attached.

Here's the Streets & Trips (Version 2007) data file for the route I recommended above, for anyone that wants it.
Cheers!

The main ride last year went really well. I think it was a "perfect route" as it offered both mountain and desert riding and was a good distance.
Everyone was hungry for the BBQ by the time the ride was finished..... :)
I'll get all the routes up in the main link soon, but Ricks looks like the ticket at this point.

Thats my old stomping grounds, looks like a great ride. I lived in San Berdoo and worked in Running Springs. Wish I could make it. Have fun..

Guys,
I'd like to request an Alternate / modified Angeles Crest route just in case it's not fully open by the event.
Check out the main CreSTOC post. The file is listed in the first page.
Cheers!

Great ride, and it was good to meet up with some familiar and some new faces! Highway 243 up through Idlyllwild is one of my favorite roads. The views from the Lookout were also great. Man, we couldn't have had better weather for the ride.
Thanks for waving at my grand-daughter on our way through De Luz. She was fascinated by all the big motorcycles going by.
Hopefully, Marilyn and I will make it up for the BBQ next year.
