Met a Winger yesterday

Yesterday I had an appointment with the sawbones, and while we were waiting outside for the office to open after lunch, we spied a spiffy silver Wing parked next door. This is about 1/4 mile from our home, so we walked there.

So we were walking around it and admiring it when the owner came out. Seems he owns the golf shop there and commutes from Apple Valley every day.

More importantly, he and his wife have put 80K on the clock already on their '06. They ride in the Big Bear-Crestline area all the time. It's their favorite ride.

His farkles included armrests for the sleeping pillion, XM radio, CB, Air horns. Now he wants to add a trailer. I told him I admired the Unigo but can't justify the cost. He put a chrome front wheel on, but said he passed on a chrome rear wheel because one can hardly see it anyway.

Yeah, I know, Joe. Hee, hee! When I was shopping for my ST, SWAMBO sat on a Wing. She hinted she would like me to buy it instead of the ST. Maybe when I grow up I'll consider it more seriously. (choke, gasp)

I admire the BMW R12ADV, too, but I probably won't ever be able to afford one.

Too bad...I like ice cream a lot, but I have to cut down on my cholesterol intake. Plus my blood pressure isn't down where it should be, either. The sawbones is talking about pills. I don' wanna.

Are you hinting that if I acquired a Wing I would be tagged as a mod? I would never join any organization that would have someone like me as a member.*
