Just got on the board. Came off a V65 Sabre last September , the Hard way, rear ended at an intersection.

Just purchased a new 2004 and was wondering is anybody knew if there is a SALE goin on with the extended warranty ?

I'm getting the runaround from the local dealer and signed up for the 4 year for $699. I see some ads for a special at $399.

Thanks for any info

Well, first of all, welcome to the site and if you have any questions just ask.

Secondly, Hope you didn't suffer any injuries as part of your accident, if you did I hope you are all healed up now...

Since you have a 2004 model, the factory warranty is good 'til 2007 so, you have time. Usually, when there's a sale the spreads like wildfire and last year Honda also had a $100 rebate coupon in Red Rider for any extended warranties purchase within a certain timeframe.

There's no reason to be in a hurry to spend your money on non-farkles.

Someone here will yell if a good sale is advertised somewhere..

Thanks for the reply.

Is DirectLine directly associated with Honda ? as in a Honda sponsored site ?

If I go back to my dealer and cancel the buy on the warranty, I would like to be sure I'm getting the same thing from DL. Their site is down , may have to call them tomorrow.

On the Wreck,

Bone head truck driver slammed into me at a stop light , said Sun was in his eyes and didn't see me.

Totaled my V65 I had put 40K on and kept me out of work for 3 months. No broken bones , but a busted right knee and tail bone.

I stood the Bikeless withdrawal symptoms as long as I could. Been riding for 38 years, never had a "serious" accident till now. First new bike since a 78 CB 750 :)

I hope the ST works out Ok, have heard a lot of good stuff. I'm 50 , 6-2 and 280 lbs. We ride the Skyway , and Dragon 2 or 3 times a year. Am still trying to get across the BRPW - After 3 tries it's either Pouring down raining or Snow in April no less.

Any Honda Extended Warranty is the same.. Prices vary a great deal from one dealer to the next...

You're in a great part of the country for having the ST.

Welcome to the post, VF. I think the ST will work out fine for you. It's sneaky fast and handles very well. If you like yours half as much as I like mine, you'll have a long relationship. How many miles have you put on it? If you have ridden over 1000 miles, what are your impressions of the ST so far? Ride safe. :bow1::04biker:
