prayers for all involved and especially for your sister - may she find courage beyond understanding.
Tell your sister that God is in charge and I, for one, take great comfort in that fact.
Prayers headed your way for both of you as well as the rest of the family.

The scan showed a spot on her liver and 1 on her ovary besides the breast. The Doctor is not as concerned with the one on liver as he is with the ovary but is checking them both out.She goes Monday to have the port put in for Chemo and then with the cancer Doctor on Thursday. The surgeon seemed relieved that the test came out as good as they did.I guess after she meets with cancer Dr we will know more. Please keep her in your prayers. They are working.
Thanks

Too bad about the loss of her breasts but they can do amazing things to recreate what the disease takes away! My cousin lost both of hers and had plaastic surgury for new ones! Look nice and natural.
Anyway, regardless of all that, I'll keep praying because life is a lot more inportant than a lost body part!!

I just found this tread today and your sister has been added to my list. I will be taking part in the "Ride-for-a-cure" in the morning here in the Denver area to help raise money for cancer research. I have had many friends and co-workers touched by cancer in one form or another so this hits very close to home for me. Prayers do work and I have witnessed that first hand.

Lord,
Keep "Nobody's" sister in you hands as she goes through this trail in her life. Please guide the minds, hearts, and hands of her Doctors as they continue to fight this horrible disease. We thank you lord for the skill that you have given these health care professionals. Please be with her family that they may not only show strength but also courage and compassion during this fight. We lift "Nobody's" sister up to you and place her care in your hands.
Amen

My sister went in yesterday for her 3rd chemo treatment. They found she had some chest infection and would not give her the treatment. They gave her an antibiotic and will try again next Tuesday. She needs to have 2 more treatments before sugery so that pushes her surgery back to maybe 1st week in July. Thanks for the continued prayers.

Please continue to pray. Insurance and finance is starting to mount up.The stress of it all is starting to get to her and her husband.

Sometimes I think the good Lord test us. He says he will never put more on us then what we can stand and all things are for a purpose. I in no way am questioning him but sometimes things get really hard.
As I have posted before and thanks for the prayers and please keep giving them for my sister who has breast cancer. She has finished her last chemo before her surgery which will be in July.
Our mother was knocked over by neighbors dog and fell and broke her pelvis and elbow. She has been in hospital for almost 2 weeks now. She is 76 and because of medication and I guess other things she is going into confusion and dementia esp at night. The Doctor cant keep her in hospital anymore because she cant do therapy because of pain and says she has to have a nurse 24 hours a day. Our only choice is Nursing home for a few weeks until it heals some then back to rehab. This is one of the hardest things I have ever had to consider but don't know what else to do. I know I have asked for more then my share of prayers but please continue.
Thank you

Ask away, we have plenty of prayers.
You mother needs supervision and the type of care you can't give her. Putting her in a home is not a way of getting rid of a problem, we all feel that way, it's a way of getting her the help she needs to get her past these issues as quickly as possible. Just visit her often if you can, that's what will help her deal with being there the best.

My wife went through beast cancer....12 years ago...
She has been cancer free since. It's a tough go but with good support from family and friends things go easier.
Be sure she finds other women in her community that have been through the process. This step really, really helped my wife cope with treatment and recovery.
My thoughts and best wishes are with you and your family.

Trust me. I know what you mean about being tried. You gotta do what you gotta do and dont fell guilty about what has to be done. Our parents don't want to be a burden on us. Realize that you can't do what she needs so leave it to someone that can take care of her.

She is down in spirit because of the white blood count she is not able to go in to see mom. they are afraid she would pick up an infection. Thanks for all the prayers and please keep them coming.

Well update on mother and sister. Great news on Mom. She is out of nursing home and doing great. Prayers were surely answered. Up tillabout a week ago thought she had given up. My sister talked to her about how much she needed her when her surgery comes up. It was like a fire was built under mom. She is walking now(with walker) but that is great.
SIster has been down and out a lot lately. I think she is really dreading the surgery. It is scheduled for 7/14.. She has been crying a lot and generaly down and out. Maybe a lot has to do with mom, don't know.
Please remember prayers.

Just found this thread this morning!
And, I thought the IPCRC (Internet Pacific Coast Riders Club - PC800) was a terrific group of people but, you folks here at the STOC who have offered prayers and encouragement for Nobody are truly a blessing of God.
I will add my prayers for your sister and mother. "We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us!" The healing and recovery are on their way, Nobody. We are just waiting for the manifestation in our reality.
May God continue to bless your family and go before you in this battle.
God is good, all the time. And, all the time, God is good!
