Just wanted to say hello... new to this board, am enjoying it emensely.

I've been on STreet bikes for 22 years officially... (24 years in reality :cop2: ) came up on CB's mostly (400, 750K, 900C), then into the ST's in 92... no going back

Please excuse my lack of farklenessnessness... my :04biker: is the first one I've ever geeked out on beyond the old standards - seats, crash bars, pegs, and backrests... the active upgrades include Calsci med sheild, Saeng quickscans, mirror and fairing deflectors, belly pan, Givi E460, PIAA 910's/Seng brackets, grip puppies, and a Rick Mayer saddle. Not big on the idea of lots'o electricals... to distracting IMHO... not sure how some of you guys get to you damned key!!!

Anyrate... great site, glad I found ya, and if ya ever need some guidance up in northern New England, drop me a line...

Many safe miles to all... :04biker:

Hi, you know you are close enough to go to NESTOC. The website link is in the first post under the "Events" forum. You can still reserve the meals until the 13th of this month, and while the set aside of rooms is closed, they probably have rooms available. Take a look see.

What? You live in Texas where you can grow real peppers and you buy salsa? I'm very disappointed in you Charlie. ;) Even up here in the GWN we know home-built is the way to go.

Beer?

Dos Equis if ya got it but I'll settle for a Fat Tire. :D

GRN, welcome to the membership. You probably already know we have a great bunch of characters here :D . I'm going to be up in your backyard right after NeSTOC (June 5 - 10). I'll be staying at the Pilgrim Inn in Plymouth NH with some non-ST friends. Let me know if you would like to get together for some riding in the White and Green Mountains. Are there any roads you would recommend?

Have you guys tried any of the St Arnolds products? Their LawnMower is so gooood!

They make a real good amber, decent brown and bock... but the LawnMower is great! Brewed here in Houston by ex financial bankers... LOL!!!

No... LOL!!! They've been brewing for 8 to 9 years(?)... My old stomping grounds was the first pub to carry their initial product... amber. They make an excellent Christmas too... :xmas:

Happy hunting... :beer3:

So many replies... so little time, thanx for the warm welcome folks. Alright, start from the top...
-forgot the Fenda Extenda in my list...
-NESTOCK would rock, a plan for next year for sure... have a date on the coast with my neglected heavier fly rods, some stipers, and one of the best guides I know for the 3&4... no can do the ride this year :(
-up here we're just efficient man... HowD... spell my dogs name Jaxon, instead of Jackson... sounds the same to me, thanx (damn, there I go again! Three degrees later and I stil can't spel). Whatever doesn't get maple syrup, probably gets tabasco! Beer. Or red. And peach salsa :p:
-agSTreak, you'll be 20 min from me man, touch base via email for my # and at the very least we'll hook up for a bite and I'll make some notes on your maps... lots of sweet roads, some in Maine too. Best shot I'll have to roll with you will be on the 5th, day job screws up the rest... wish I could make NESTOCK, grew up in the Adirondacks, some pretty sweet miles to do up there on the side... mmmmmmmm
-Leo, they are in the mail, along with most of the rest of the list... full report to come!

...LawnMower, sounds too good not to try!

GRN, let's make it happen. If you're only 20 mins away maybe you'd care to meet me along the way and join my buddies and me for dinner. We'll probably eat at the seafood and barbecue place in Plymouth (I forget its name). Food was really good.- john

John, maybe intercept you in VT somewhere... I could head over early and kill some time on a river somewhere with a flyrod (my dualsport pursuit). Where are you planning on starting from on the 5th?
