Well folks, I have been lurking here for a few months waiting for delivery of my new '05 ST 1300. :biker: Based on the number of similiar posts, there must have been a whole bunch of bikes just delivered from Japan recently. Anyway, all I can say after my first 80 Km. (50 miles) is WOW!!

Thanks to all for your tips. Even with the advanced knowledge I still found myself going way faster than I thought. You really have to keep an eye on the speedo :p:

The only bad news was that I already scratched her. I unzipped the bottom of my First Gear jacket while I was riding and the zipper ended up scratching the paint on the tank . I guess I will have to invest in the tank protector.

Anyway, I am looking forward to being able to actively participate in this group and yes, pictures will be posted soon :D

Current Farkles:

Welcome to the board. It's always nice to greet a newbie from the GWN. All I can say is ride carefully and ride lots until you get used to the ST's quirks. Yes stealth speed is one. Enjoy your new ride and keep it safe. :bow1: :biker:

Man there's getting to be a lot of ST13's in Calgary. :D There's a loose knit bunch of ST (11 and 13) riders out of Calgary/Canmore and area that try to do a Wed. night ride weather permitting (hence the Humpday Rider tag). PM me if you're interested.

Welcome to the forum, RockTster.

I also had the misfortune of giving my tank a small scratch shortly after picking it up. Did a nice touch up and put the tank protector over it - looks great. I like the farkles that have as much function as form :)

Cheers!

Welcome RocSTer from Ontario. I have a good friend in Calgary that I sometimes visit. He doesn't ride a bike, but I will notify you if I ever take the BlueBear STeed there. Ride safe and watch the speed. My :04biker: goes quick too. I hear that the :03biker: is the fastest though!!! :bow1:
