with all these thread's recently about stebel horn's, i decided i wanted a big horn but wanted to use same location and same wire's as stock.
dont know if I want 150d.b. of loudness, when i honk my horn i want to be noticed but dont want to scare someone, who know's what might happen,
so i shop around a little ,
i decided to be the guiena pig on this piaa horn i noticed in a catalog also noticed the bracket was the same as stock,
so i took off tuberware, i had to check fasteners anyway for 600 mile service and to my surprise,it was a perfect fit in the stock location, pluged right in to hear 115d.b. of loudness,:)
a great improvement over stock.

I got mine from CycleGadgets.com in June 2007.
I'm not sure they still carry it.

Thanks for the info on the PIAA horn. I'd like to do the same thing, find a replacement that is a simple swap. Actually have been wondering about the GL18 horn, since that is pretty loud but I haven't gotten a look at the horn yet. Anyone else know if it will replace the one on the ST13?

Another alternative is installing Fiamm horms. The Fiamm Freeway Blaster is 132 decibals and comes in high and low note models. I installed two of these with a relay for less than $50. I bought them at Advance Auto Parts. The relay is required to avoid a voltage drop that would prevent the horns from making full volume. One mounted where the OEM is and the other mounted just off that. I had to trim the second one's trumpet some to clear the inner cowl but the cowl fits in place like OEM. Don't blow these horns in your garage unless you want to hurt.
