Well I pulled a long one yesterday and got home at 5:pm our time. I started out at 6:am in the previous time zone so it was a pretty long day for me.
I was slowed down by snow at least three times that I remember and on the last mountain pass while it wasn't snowing there was a lot of sand and gravel on the road to slow me down.
I ended up with a total of 4656 miles round trip (7493 klm).:)
Thanks again to Terry and everyone else who made the experience a good one.:D

Wow :hotpepper :hotpepper quite a ride. Happy to hear you made it home safe. I was wondering about snowy passes on your way home.

Glad you made it safe Pete and great to meet you. I didn't get home till yesterday, but I didn't encounter any snow other than what we saw in Casey.
I'm glad you made it home okay Pete. Did the tire hold up or did you have to get a new one? See you next year!!

Glad you made it home safe. I was telling my wife about this crazy Canadian who rode to moonshine. She just shook her head!

Quite the ride Pete, if you get some time I would enjoy a write up of your travels. I bet it was an adventure. Wish I could have said hello in Moonshine, I did look for Canadian plates....Glad you're home safe...

Thank you everyone for your well wishes.
Joe I did take a few pictures but for the most part I'm one of those people that gets home then spends the next week kicking them selves in the butt for not taking more.
Biddyman I can't figure out how to attach a pic to your e-mail in ST-Owners so if you could PM me your address I will send you one.
Nick I was disappointed that we didn't meet up, I asked around but no one I asked had seen you.
dr, thanks for taking all the pictures, I downloaded some of them onto my laptop to show my wife and friends.
Coop, yes I did buy another tire to make it home. Once I started thinking about it, it was preying on my mind like an ice cold bottle of beer at the end of a long dusty day.
While I won't be making next springs Moonshine I will be going to another one sometime in the future. Hopefully I will meet you all again there and get the opportunity to trade some more riding stories.
Terry when I showed my wife the picture of you congratulating me for the LD award she asked me if you were tearing up, I told her that's what happens when a man has a heart of gold, they just can't hold there feelings in.
Thanks again,
Papa Bear.

Yes,,, Yes I was... After 4 years,,, I still average about 4 good cry's a day Pre/During/Post MLR... :o:
To be standing in front of riders who rode through all that they did to fill that huge room??? Then,,, to be able to give an award for over,,, WELL over 4,000 miles Round Trip to a very humble rider willing to ride to this wacky idea I came up with??? How can I not tear up???
Even a dreamer like me,,, never dreamed of so many,,, coming so far... I can see tears for at least the next 10 years... ;)
