I just received my Corbin solo seat. Can't wait for the ride tomorrow. Hopefully it will be broken in by 6-11 for the bar-b-que run. :04biker:

I have had mine now for about three good rides. It seems to solve all of the issues I had with the oem seat, not wide enough and getting pushed forward. The one down side I have seen so far with the seat is how it spreads your legs out alot. I am fortunate enough to be tall enough to still be flat footed at stops.

I have a 29" inseam on a good day... tippytoe shuffle when stopped, so I'll have the same issues I'm sure... :D

Mine should be in within a few days. UPS says it's in transit. I got the Dual Canyon "Close" with DT stitching. I'll post pics ASAP.

Well i've got around 450 miles on the Corbin and I can feel my but getting more comfortable with each mile . The black snake skin really blends well with the blue of the beast .
Today I got the Cee Bailey win shield ,2" lower and 4"wider light gray tint .
Did a 75 mile test ride .... I like . No more buffeting on the back when it's raised up . And it looks COOL :D And it can be faster than a speeding bullit .
Too much fun ;) Dan :04biker:

I've just ordered my Corbin Seat and a Smuggler. A friend of mine got this combo for his silver ST and I liked it so much I had to have one. I do a load of commuting and have definitely found that the top-box makes the bike feel spongy in the back end (maybe I need to sort the suspension out since my tyre pressure is fine).

Anyway the kind of luggage that I carry for commuting is my lunch box and that's it, so I don't need the top box for that! Long distance is a different matter!!

OK, so the new seat has arrived. One thing I don't like is the funky fuse-in-fuse thing with a rain cover. Nasty!! BTW, this is a heated seat, hence the need for the power.

I'd like to do a proper job but I don't have the wiring diagram for the fused auxillary power from the fuse box. What I would like to do is run a tap from the Auxillary Power (Switched on by the inition switch) to an in-line fuse. This in-line fuse then runs to the power of the seat. This way I'm not messing with the fuse box and adding a funky thing in there. Yes, I'll end up having to carry a different kind of fuse (7.5A) but that is no real hardship.

If you know what the color of the wire is or which terminal point it comes out of the fuse box, please let me know. I'll dig through the web schematics that someone posted otherwise.

Thanks. ...In anticipation of a cushty seat! :-)

So if I were to buy a corbin solo but not the smuggler, is there a matching passenger section for the solo or do I have to use the OEM one which won't match exactly. Will they simply reupholster the OEM pillion seat to match?

I ordered the seat with NO STITCHING and if it wasn't for the little Corbin tag on the side you wouldn't be able to tell it isn't a matched set. If you want a match order all black, no stitching. The seat rocks.

Thanks, which covering texture did you get?
