I'm humbled. Spent about 4 hours setting up the J&M Handlebar CB on the ST this afternoon. For a first venture under the hood (except the oil change), this is quite an experience that is teaching me a lot about the bike. But I am humbled enough to set aside my male ego (much to nfl's relief) and ask directions.
1. From the handlebars what is the recommended routing for the harness? I've routed the harness (antenna coax, power hook up, and headset cable) adjacent to the bracket that has to two bolts for the gas tank. The wire enters the under-tank area between the gas tank and the frame and exits just to the left of the center seat bracket at the rear of the tank. It looked to me like the frame and tank don't touch other than at the bracket itself, am I wrong? Should I find a route under the frame? Any suggestions?
2. Anyone else that has the J&M setup, where did you connect to accessory power?
3. Antenna coax exit from under the seat.... am I destined to drill through the tupperware in the tail section? Is there an exit route close to the tail light or left saddle bag that doesn't require drilling?
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me. Nofinishline thanks you as well.
