I called Kury and asked about grips for the ST 1300. They said that they do not make any that fit the ST. What grips are you guys talking about? Also, could someone post pictures of the Kury and BMW grips for us to see? I am a new ST owner, converted from a VTX. I had Kury grips on the X and liked them, but I agree with those that say the chrome would look out of place on the ST. Also, is it easy to install them without causing problems with the throttle?

Thanks for the advice everyone.

No doubt Kuryakyn is unfamiliar with the ST1300, so I'm not surprised at what they told you. Kuryakyn makes Ergo grips for cruisers--1" bars, and for other bikes with 7/8" bars. For the latter, they make a set specifically for the Gold Wing, and then they have their generic set for 7/8" bars, which include a plastic sleeve for the left handgrip, that can be cut to length to match the throttle side. Find a friend or someone you know who owns a GL1800 and measure how much handlebar sticks out from the switch pod, on both sides. Then measure the same thing on your ST. I'm willing to bet it's pretty close. If so, then either the generic or Gold Wing Ergos should fit.

Did you ever find a Kury grip that works? I am think that the 7/8 universal will work but wanted to make sure before I ordered.

They'll work on the ST1300. Easy to install. Just make sure you don't get too much glue on the plastic throttle sleeve, or it'll goop up as you slide the grip on, and you could inadvertently glue the throttle sleeve to the switch housing.

Yeah, I have installed several sets on other brand bikes. I usually just put enough glue to keep them form sliding. Thanks for the fast response.

Made my one inch grips that I took off my cruiser work. I always said if you have a roll of tape and wd-40 you can fix anything.:D
